The Pre-Retirement Institute (PRI) has been established to exclusively provide pre-retirement planning workshops for federal public servants across Canada.  Our address is 64 Stibbard Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4P 2C2.

We realize the Pre-Retirement Planning program provided through the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) is no longer part of their curriculum. To maintain a consistent delivery of this important benefit for federal government employees, PRI is providing the identical program that was delivered through Ontario Region of the CSPS from 2011 to the end of fiscal 2014/15 by MC Planning Ltd (MCPL).

Mike Carter, CFP is the owner/operator of MCPL and he is also the creator/owner of PRI. MCPL designed the 3-day Pre-Retirement Planning program for CSPS, Ontario Region in accordance with Request for Proposals and Request for Standing Offers from 2011 to 2015. MCPL has been the primary provider of this program throughout this period with over 100 deliveries. Feedback from both workshop participants and senior management at CSPS, Ontario Region has been consistently exceptional. One of the driving principles of PRI is that our financial education is entirely independent, meaning we do not sell any financial products, nor do we accept any form of compensation from financial product salespeople or firms.  Our only focus is to design and deliver highly effective and interactive retirement planning workshops for federal government employees.
